If the camera is bought here in the States, can I claim the warranty in Asia for example? Thanks!
If you bought the camera in the US, you would likely have to send it back to the US for repairs. The paper work that came with the camera will tell you this. I haven't seen any with a international warranty.

Check your warranty documents.
Absolutely not. Your warranty dies the very second they get an excuse not to honor it. That includes taking it elsewhere abroad, farting anywhere near it or even using it in less than textbook-perfect conditions. "Oh, you removed the lens cap, sir? That's a felony."
Is there any hint of bitterness there? Good.
