I'm thinking about getting either T-mobiles memoir which has a 8 meg and Behold 2 which has a 5 meg. Other than the cam it's seems like Behold 2 might have a lot more to offer. On the other hand, I'm really interested in the quality of the cam.

Since the phone camera is not a camera that you would use to take quality pictures, then there is really no need to go with the 8 mp camera if the 5mp is cheaper.

No. Many people think more megapixels means better quality. Nope, it doesn't. It's great that you have asked this question. Between 8MP and 5MP, you won't see any differences.
Buy the Behold 2 if it has more options, because those 3 megapixels are really just there so more people buy that camera.
