I have a micro sd-sd adapter so i can put it in my camera and format it but it doesn't work. the card is not read only and i tried putting it in the slot for my computer and tried to format it from there but it still didn't work. There are no pictures on this card it is brand new.

Make sure that the lock on the adapter is off.
Never try to format memory cards using your computer. Your camera formats it with the correct format type and the camera writes new file folders to the card.
