I have a Nikon D40 and im wondering how you do videos on it?


I lost my manual for the Camera! :(
So i need a little help, if its even possible to do videos on the D40!

sorry but you cannot do videos with this camera...
i have some nikon cameras, you can shoot video with the d90 but not the D40 d60 model

good camera though:]

You can't. The D40 hit the market before the video gimmick became popular. It's replacement, the D3000, also can't do video.

If you're interested in taking video, I would suggest looking into a Nikon D5000 (or Canon T1i). You could perhaps find a buyer for your camera and get a newer model with video capabilities.

The D40 can not do video. In the Nikon line of DSLR cameras, the lease expensive option is the Nikon D5000.

Below I listed a link to the Nikon's webpage about the D5000. It costs about $650 with a 18-55mm zoom lens.

the only DLSR's that shoot video are the Nikon D5000, Nikon D90, Nikon D300s, Nikon D3S, Canon Rebel T1i, Canon EOS 7D, Canon 5D mark II, Canon 1D Mark IV, and the Pentax K-X. The D40 does not have video capabilities.
