Don't worry dear-

There may be various problems -
1> Check if the USB cable is working
2> Some camera need specific software to transfer photos to PC - all camera manufacturer provided the software. Check the CD/DVD you received with camera
3> Check if your USB port is 2.0
4> Check security settings if external hardware applications are allowed.

By now I think your problem will be solved

It also depends on what operating system your computer is running. Pre-XP do not have automatic detection of devices and drivers and software are a must in order to get your camera and computer to "talk". If your computer's operating system is one of the more modern version such as Vista or Windows 7 or even a Mac, then it should be automatic.

Here's an even easier solution, just purchase a very cheap (under $10) USB memory card reader from either WalMart or other store or even online. Then simply take your memory card from your Kodak camera and insert it in the memory card reader. This way, you don't have to fiddle around with drivers or drain the battery of your camera while you download/select pictures. Hope this helps.

Are you sure you have the Easyshare software installed on the computer? The other possibility is once you have the camera plugged in and turned on, go to "my computer" and the camera should show up there. CLick on it for the options.
